MicNic 0 Posted November 28, 2010 Ok, I read, read, read everything I can on here and I am so jealous! I am not a wimp, I swear! But I am almost two weeks out from surgery and I am still moving slow! While I am steady making progress, I stil can't bend over to pick something up off the floor. I still walk somewhat hunched over like I am elderly. My back is killing me from all the weird ways I sit and because even tho I hate sleeping on my back, it hurts when I try to sleep on my sides. Seriously, it's like everyone else on here got a different surgery than me! Luckily, no sickness yet. I just had to vent. I am really happy for you all, just wishing I was healing as quick and back to normal so fast. Right now, I can't even imagine signing up for plastic surgery ever!!!! Take care of yourselves! Micnic If it makes you feel any better, I am a week postop and can't sleep on my sides either. I am afraid of hurting myself, so I sleep on the recliner couch. I don't bend over at all. I hold my stomach whenever I laugh and I can't stretch out because it hurts.

Micnic Micnic, Looks like you & I are on this ride together! I was just venting to my husband yesterday about everyone else's posts..."Seems like I'M the ONLY one that isn't having a super duper easy recovery," I said! I was having a very nice lil' pity party & although I'm thrilled for everyone else....I'm also JEALOUS! I'm almost 2 wks post op myself & I can honestly say that today I actually feel like I'm gonna live! I've had awful trapped gas & acid reflux up until now. I don't know if it's cuz I am a diabetic is why I'm healing slower or what, but I just keep tellin' myself that I did this all for my health & the Lord hasn't brought me this far to leave me now. LOL! I am praying for you & hope that you will have a turning point in your recovery SOON! If you'd like to personal message me & we can talk about our not so good recovery you're more than welcome to. dbrjredd@aol.com Rhonda
sleeve 4 me 910 Posted November 28, 2010 I had a terrrrrible time after surgery. It was so hard for me! I was so weak and in pain. I would read where people were out shopping a few days after surgery, and back to work after a few days, and would think what's wrong with me. I could barely stand to shower and dress. Day 14 I felt semi normal again. Hope you feel better soon!
PamelaAM 16 Posted November 29, 2010 Count me in this club as well! I was so weak and could hardly walk up until the morning of Day 14 when I woke up and felt somewhat (and I use that term loosely) human again. I had a very difficult time getting through the recovery from this surgery - more so than any other surgeries that I have had. This one was totally grueling. But it does get better and you will be so happy that you did this. Tomorrow is 9 weeks for me and I am in a whole different place than I was during the first 4 weeks! LESLIEH 68 Posted November 29, 2010 I was the same way, I wanted to die after surgery and kept telling my husband this is the biggest mistake I have ever made. But by week 3 I'm getting the hang of it and things are really progressing. I guess people actually forget to tell you the hell part they first went thru when they got it done. Micnic I'm glad you posted this. I am right there with you.. I read all about people who stop taking their pain meds after day 4 well I am on day 12 and today was the first day I went all day without taking anything. I might take something before I try to sleep tonight. It still hurts when I stand up, sit down, take a shower, cough and try to sleep in any other position besides on my back. I'm normally a belly sleeper so it really sucks sleeping on my back. And I've also had no nausea or reflux. My best friend who had this surgery about 2 months ago calls me a "woosie" and my fiance says "oh it can't still hurt that bad"... Well it does. I'm hoping by this magical "day 14", that I keep reading about, I'll feel like myself again. lol, I'll let you know in 2 days.
