At the hospital. Will have my surgery in about 2 hours. Did all the blood work, ekg, and xray yesterday. Very easy and painless. The staff here are wonderful. I love Lucy. Everything is clean. Can't say enough good things. I will post form the loosers bench next time.

I got my sleeve. Now if only I could sleep. I am in some painand the only thing that relives it is standing or wilking. Well a girl can only stand so long. I am hoping the gas lets up gust a little bit.

Julienick77 how did your surgery go. Thinking of you.

I love your name. It would be fun to have the surgery as a secret I think. Its not just a tool but a SECRET tool. I like that !! There is a certain satisfaction in keeping your business to yourself.

Hey girl, I'm back home and doing well. I lost my voice but other than that I feel good. I plan to go back to work tomorrow. I have a full schedule so lets keep our fingers crossed that I make it through the day. I only have a half day wednesday. My worst day was the day I came home from the hospital. I had not been taking any meds while in the hospital because I didn't think I needed them and I think the drive was a little too much. All better now. I drove 3 hours from my parents to my home today and that wasn't too bad. I've been having alot of Powerade slushes but can't take the Protein bullets. Hope you are doing well. Keep in touch.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
