NC Redneck 0 Posted November 19, 2010 Wow!! Congratulations! that is just awesome -- you should tell us more about your story -- I'd love to hear it -- congratulations again I am male, 38, and from NC. I was "sleeved" July 1 by Dr. Rodriguez in Juarez at Star Medica. I have been very lucky. My recovery was quick and I have never had problems getting in enough Water as some have. After going back on solid food, I have not had any problems eating anything. I have never had any problems with "taste" as some has had. Luckily for me everything still tastes the same. I am pleased with my weight loss to this point, but I probably would have lost more if I had keep my Protein intake up. I try to eat food high in Protein when I eat but have not been getting enough. I just got tired of the shakes. I still have one occasionally or a Protein Bar but have not been doing it daily, as I should. I have been taking PPI's since surgery and am trying to get off of them due to possible side effects. I have not taken one in almost a week and don't seem to be having any problems other than feeling that I need to eat more often. The PPI's do seem to suppress the appetite. I will be happy to answer any questions. Thanks goes to everyone who have helped me along the way with posts and testimonies from this forum.
