Sharrinslife 2 Posted November 14, 2010 Hi All, For those that are already sleeved my surgery is coming up and I do not own a blender or food processor. First did you use both or just one . If you used one more often then the other are there specific things to look for in each one. I have heard people talk about mini's and bullets and am wondering what to buy .. Help Please. Thanks in advance Sharrin
Lila21 36 Posted November 14, 2010 Hi Sharin, I am not yet sleeved, but in gathering info, i found out that you can attach a mason jar to an Oster blender and it works the same as the magic bullet. It has the same easy clean-up, but more power. I have also heard you can use this same method to make baby food, so I plan to use my Oster blender and a few mason jars to make my mushies as well. .... However, I will let experienced sleevers chime in since, I don't know yet if my little scheme will work :-)
Lila21 36 Posted November 14, 2010 I did try making a shake in the Mason jar blender, but I haven't tried mushies yet. Protein Shake turned out great!
Maddie 9 Posted November 14, 2010 I use a Magic Bullet for prot shakes and for when I was on mushies.
ImdownwithVSG 0 Posted November 14, 2010 Forget the Magic Bullet! Buy this, it is cheaper and works just as well if not better. I got mine from Target for $17.99 and it is awesome! http://wize.com/blenders/p438025-bella-cucina-12-piece-rocket

w8warrior 0 Posted November 15, 2010 I am only 2 weeks out and I've been using my Magic Bullet. I started mushies today and it was great. Good Luck.
Cleosan52 6 Posted November 15, 2010 Love my Magic Bullet! If you can get one or one that is like it, I'd say go for it. Blends very nicely and clean up is a snap. Plus it is small and great for the trips to the in laws.
lunarose 97 Posted November 15, 2010 Hi, Walmart has one by Oster that is both a blender/food processor comes with two different containers. I believe it was less then $20. I am 12 weeks out and so far have only used the blender part but it works great. Nancy
