MaMa-C-Ta 0 Posted November 8, 2010 Hi All. I'm scheduled for my surgery next month and have been reading and researching in preparation. I read recently that bypass patients sometimes have trouble with "stringy" meat. Any sleeve patients experince problems with "stringy" meat? When I think of stringy meat I think of roast, pulled pork/chicken, etc.
Tiffykins 673 Posted November 8, 2010 Pork chops sit heavy in my sleeve, but pork tenderloin, roast, stew meat, chili meat, cubed steaks, pulled pork, rib meat, chopped and sliced brisket all work fabulously for me. I struggled with meat in my 3rd month post-op, but it was just a temporary phase.
SParkle 4 Posted November 18, 2010 I struggled with duck and pork, both lean, but seemed to sit really heavy with me.... I'll try them again in the future to see if that changes. Beef is ok tho, and chicken is fine too.
