Sac_Girl 0 Posted November 8, 2010 Hey guys, I am feeling a little better. I am 7 days Post-Op now. I am losing 1 pound a day. It's been like this for 5 days now. Is this common? To me it's kind of scary...I am so use to seeing the scales go up and up--never down and down--- Thanks, Pam

To me it's kind of scary...I am so use to seeing the scales go up and up--never down and down--- Thanks, Pam hey pam, i got sleeved the same day as you, and i am down 8 lbs, so it must be pretty much the norm. how are u doing otherwise, do u have a drain, follow up with the doc yet, what are you eating if anything LOL, i see the doc on wed and will have the drain removed then.... thanks vicki
Sac_Girl 0 Posted November 8, 2010 Hi Vicki, I never had a drain put in. I am still eating stage 2 foods...Solid liquids still... I am up to 150 cals a day and 18 oz of Water. I went in at 214 lbs and I am now 202. That is 12 pounds in 7 days that I lost. I will see my surgeon on Dec 9th. Maybe because I don't have the drain is why the appointment is so far away. Also Vicki, I had a hernia to boot. I am so lucky...So maybe thats another reason why I'm still not eating or drinking much. 2 surgeries for my dollar... And how are you doing? please let me know... Thanks, pam

Jordien 30 Posted November 9, 2010 I couldn't believe how I dropped 15 lbs in the first week or so. It has slowed down a bit, but at 7 weeks out today, I am down 33 lbs.

SlimChristy 1 Posted November 10, 2010 I was sleeved on Nov 3rd and have lost almost 23 pounds in a week!!!! Im like FLABBERGASTED about that! I dont think thats normal! Even though I did have to go back in the hopsital for 2 extra days because of puking and pain. 23 pounds!!!! WHAT THA??? I see my Dr on the 15th and Im going to double check on his scales. Even though I weighed everyone in my family on mine to make sure they were right. and they seem to be. I too am wondering what the norm is........
SParkle 4 Posted November 10, 2010 It'll settle down, maybe even stall... but don't worry - I also found it strange to see the scales going down... still do in fact! My weight loss has now evened out and I'm shifting about 1lb a week.... which as I'm only 18lbs off my surgeons target of 147lbs I'm quite happy with. The target I chose for myself is 140lbs..... so we'll see what happens with that one.
