susieq 49 Posted November 8, 2010 My desire for a drink made with real sugar is great. Something delicious, like an icy cold Mexican coke. I want it like a junkie wants ... whatever it is a junkie wants. Really NO drink has made me happy since the surgery. Occasionally, I get a glass of unsweetened iced tea (with Splenda) that hits the spot momentarily, but after a few drinks, I hate it, too. Sigh. A real Dr. Pepper or Mr. Pibb. Lemonade with sugar. Heck, even Kool-Aid would be good. But I won't give in. I won't.
NLWC.Christa 4 Posted November 8, 2010 How do you feel about chocolate milk? When I have a sweet craving, I pick up a bottle of 100 Calorie Nesquik Chocolate Milk from the local convenience store. Ice cold, sweet and creamy...8 grams of Protein. It completely satisfies my craving and with the low-ish calories and good protein count, I don't feel guilty. susieq 49 Posted November 8, 2010 That might do the trick. I wonder if I can bribe my son to go to the corner store to see if they have them. I'll let you know, thanks!
Becca 108 Posted November 8, 2010 Good for you! Your post is too funny, even though I know how bad you want the sugar! You can do it!
susieq 49 Posted November 8, 2010 Well, heck. My son is too busy. What does he mean he has to study for a college class? I have NEEDS!

Fleur de lis 2 Posted November 8, 2010 Walmart has sugar free/calorie free drink mixes. They are the Great Value brand. My favorite is the Apple Drink Mix.
