Amber07 0 Posted November 7, 2010 Should I be getting? My doctor says 70-89 but that's for sleeve patients AND bypass patients. Which, this is odd to me, because I thought bypass patients needed more because some of theirs isn't get absorbed. Anyone care to share how many their doc is telling them is enough per day? Thanks!! Tiffykins 673 Posted November 7, 2010 60gr at the minimum. Anything extra will just help you heal faster, feel better, and sustain better energy levels.
Jordien 30 Posted November 9, 2010 My doctor's recommendation is 60grams. I get around 45 - 50 on most days. It's tough, but I always try to make Protein the priority.
LowCho 1 Posted November 10, 2010 My doc recommends 60g Protein minimum for everyone but 80g to 100g for those taller than 5'6".
juliarh 35 Posted November 10, 2010 I try to get between 60 - 80 per day, but some days I'm just not hungry, can't force myself to eat and only get in 50ish -- but I think if you're pretty consistent with trying to get 60 in, you'll be good
mysparky 1 Posted November 10, 2010 My nutritionist has given me a goal of 50grams/day, but that is based upon my height. She said the range is 50-90 and those higher levels would be for men over 6'
