Alexandra 55 Posted April 19, 2004 I snack on nuts and seeds. Do you have a Trader Joe's near you? Or try any supermarket that has a natural or "wholesome" section. I love the dry roasted edamame for crunch (that's soy beans) and wasabi peas or peanuts for some real eye-opening flavor. When I'm in need of extra Fiber (ahem), I'll eat a good handful of raisins or dried cranberries. (Trader Joe's also has a faboo selection of dried fruit.) But I don't snack much anymore. Just now when I got home from work, my stomach is growling pre-dinner. I had a very small handful of pistachio nutmeats and now I'm good to go until dinner. ~c~ 1 Posted April 20, 2004 Well these days if i do feel like snacking i have to actually plan it because i have so little room.I tried the crispy minis and they were good. We watch the hockey play offs(Senators!!!) and everyone's sitting around munching away...don't want to feel left out but don't want nachos on my hips either(or my belly, arms, legs,chin....... ) Chantal
GingerRenayd2 0 Posted April 20, 2004 Trader Joes is awesome! They only have stores on the east coast side and they are adding more location see website www.traderjoes.com I buy meat, cheese, nuts you name it from there. If you have one by you or even a close drive it is so worth going. They have a snack called veggie bootie. It is like eatting chips but better for you. I believe it has 4 to 6 gram prot in 1/2 cup. I like to get the carmel for a snack. It is nice to have every once in a while. I get out a bag and set it out for parties and no one knows it is good for you;) Almonds are good. I eat popcorn-some don't because they are affaid it might get stuck but as long as you don't shove a whole hand full in your mouth you should be good. Now that spring is finally here Watermelon is great and very filling. I read someone was eatting it for Breakfast and tried it myself and boy.. It is so good and filling. I know they make a high protien pretzel too. They are filling- my doctor told me about them. You know those nachos are good too as long as you eat more cheese or Beans on them than the chip itself! Treat yourself!! The band will do its work and let you know if that was a bad idea to eat or not. And if now walk an extra lap around the block before you sit down to watch Tv:}

Dizzy182 0 Posted April 27, 2004 I love to snack on soy nuts, they help me with my Protein intake and they are not that high in calories. Also, I keep the 25 cents bags of chips and have a few of those every blue moon.
