vicki s 146 Posted October 28, 2010 I would love a buddy, I am 53 yrs old and have had the lapband for 2 1/2 yrs, it prolapsed in march of this yr and i had it fixed, now 7 months later and 40 lbs heavier i am going in for surgery on mon. nov. 1st. for the sleeve. I am soo scared, but so hopeful all goes well and i will be more active and just generally happier with myself. I am going to visit my daughter and her fam. at christmas time and will be traveling with them to savannah Ga. about 4 hrs from their home by car and hope this is not too optomistic at 7 weeks post op. I am also going on a cruise in Feb. and am so excited about the things i will be able to do (snorkle) that i wouldn't be able to do today if i went..I hope there is some one i can just talk to along this journey. and I am a good listener too...lol Thanks for hearing me out, Vicki~
MINI-Me 196 Posted October 28, 2010 Vicki - I am a virgin sleever & never had a lapband, but I know several people with them. I would be glad to be your buddy and help you along the journey. Send me a PM if you are interested. And - I think you will be just fine in 7 weeks for car travel.
