Wow you look brilliant !!! The difference in your whole body shape from the start to now is just amazing. How is your husband doing ?

I am using you as my inspiration Christy. I am a similar weight and shape to you, although very much older LOL, so you are my template for the future LOL !! I only hope I can do nearly as well as you after my surgery in December.

Keep up the brilliant work and here's to getting to your 100 next month !!!

Big meows to Phoebe from my cats Mr Malcolm and Mr Sunny Bunny.

Best wishes Angela x ( UK member )

Thanks Angela! I am wishing you all the best in December and beyond :) My husband is doing very well but he's been in a plateau even longer than I have but not much new to report. He is down 68 lbs total in 4 1/2 mos and his pants size has gone from 54 to 46, tops from XXL to XL and those XL's are getting loose :)

Big meows back to your kitties :)

Awesome! How do you do the side by side pictures. I think those are great!

I use Photoshop :) I put them side by side and use guidelines at the head and feet to make sure I get them the same size. But when I do my 'real life' comparisons I just use Picnik which is an online editor. You could use that and it's much easier, but there isn't a lot of control over getting the sizes of the two images to be the same.

I am in utter awe as to your progress! Thank you for all the video and picture updates. You keep me inspired as do the rest of the "loosers". I know you can loose the 11 lbs this month and make the 100 mark.

You look like a totally different person from your before and after pics. Now I have to wait patiently for next months update :-)

Keep up the great progress

Lily

Christie- I finally got to watch your video. I love your videos, and I'm so proud of you for sharing your story in such a great way. You are looking fabulous, and how awesome to buy clothes from the rack. I know how you feel about worrying that you're never going to lose another pound. I feel that way every time the scale doesn't move. Good job keeping up with the exercise. That's my biggest struggle right now. I use myfitnesspal.com to chart my foods. At my current weight (259), my goal calories (according to them) are 1600ish. It tells me every day I need to eat more, because when you eat less than 1200 calories you go into starvation mode. I just ignore that part :) It still gives you a total at the bottom of calories, fat, carbs, and Protein. I really have to do this daily so I know I'm getting in my Protein, but I really like it. I thought it was easier to use than Sparkpeople.

Hopefully your period won't be a full month long one, and you won't have that added difficulty with the weight loss this month. I'm really rooting for you to lose the 11 lbs and get to your 100 lbs lost mark. Best of luck!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
