Trace Curry 1 Posted June 12, 2006 Cheryl, Sorry to butt in, but I couldn't resist This is a 3 year process you're into here, and I see this a lot with lower BMI patients. You feel frustrated with the number of pounds you are losing, but if you look at the percentage of body weight, you are doing great! If you lose 10 pounds a month for 3 years you would be non-existant, so I usually tell my lower BMI patients to expect about a half a pound to one pound a week. Patience, grasshopper! Good luck, Dr. Trace Curry (aka Dr. C) PS I'm a bariatric surgeon in Cincinnati, I usually hang out on the ObesityHelp lap band board but thought I might check this place out. cherg 2 Posted June 12, 2006 Thanks Doc, it is nice to see a doctor take the time to check things out. I just spoke to my surgeon and he said basically the same thing that its a 3 year progress and I have yet to get a fill that this is the healing time and starting to eat the right way. Thanks and your not butting in at all.
