I seem to get the hiccups often. Not always a fit of them, sometimes just one or two. It doesn't seem to be tied to when I'm eating or drinking. The last ones were half an hour after I drank anything. Anyone have any ideas how to reduce or stop this?

me too. i get them throughout the day aswell. not sure what causes them. i heard some one in another post say that it might be due to a full signal but i'm really not sure. hope someone posts to find out how to avoid them (especially when i'm shopping) :)

The full signal hiccup I get is different from the ones I get during the day associated with food.

I can't explain how. It just is always one loud one. I used to get 30 mins after I started feeling full.

So I would stop at the sensation and then 30 mins later, ONE BIG HICCUP. Now, I get the ONE BIG

HICCUP, with the sensation of fullness. So at least my signals are in synch now. Ha!

The others ones I get at random times are usually more than one. They can all be loud at times though.

Hi, I get random hiccups too but usually will get one when I either eat too fast or too much. I rarely have more then two or three at a time.

I just got sleeved two days ago and got some hiccups that lasted for an hour at a time. Doesn't seem like a big deal but every hiccup stresses my abdomen a bit, which is no fun when the incisions are nice and fresh! I called the on-call dr and he said it was pretty normal and didn't have much to do with what you eat/drink, he said it was something about general stresses on the esophagus. I was prescribed valium before my surgery for help sleeping and keeping by body relaxed and the Dr said that would help get rid of them, he also mentioned that alternating between sips of something hot and cold will help. I tried both and they seemed to work...hopefully if they are bothering you, one of those options might work for you.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
