feedyoureye 3,087 Posted October 6, 2010 My Dr's nurse called yesterday working on getting me a date... but she said the Dr was prepareing for RNY, not sleeve! YIKES! She sounded kind of put out when I said that his assistant Dr had recomended me for the sleeve OR RNY I and chose the sleeve. She will be talking to the main surgeon and will get back to me in 2 days. NERVOUS. She did say my insurance does cover the sleeve...so keep your fingers crossed for me will you all? Thanks. BlackBerryJuice 349 Posted October 6, 2010 Good thing you found out before and not after the surgery! I think the idea of writing on your belly is really good, as well as talking to the surgeon about it right before the surgery to make sure s/he's 100% sure about the type of surgery that is to be performed. spop620 0 Posted October 8, 2010 Not to scare anyone but....I know someone who woke up from surgery only to discover then that she was given the bypass instead of the band. Needless to say... she got a full refund!
