Okay, so I'm feeling out the new vertical sleeve talk and the first thing I noticed is that it is very ...... feminine, in appearance now. Doesn't that leave the fellas out a bit? I'm willing to say that there are probably plenty of guys out there who don't mind the pink and dusty rose color palette, but the art icon next to each forum is of a distinctly feminine form, subtly suggesting that this entire site is really meant only for women. It would be a shame to start making male sleevers feel as though this isn't the place for them, they are already in the minority for support available.

Good point, as a guy I can relate to what you're saying smile.gif We're planning to provide our members with a few skins they can select to use for our site. I know some are definitely more manly than the current one in use. It should be available in the top right hand corner of the web site in a few weeks.

So far, I'm not a fan. I loved just being able to hit "NEW POST" and BAM I had the forum broken down for easy access. I'm sure it'll take some time for me to get comfortable with all the changes, BUT so far, I'm just kind of trying to navigate through the changes.

Do not care for this new forum. The other was very easy to navigate. I could hit a button called New Posts and automatically find them. It took me 5 minutes to figure out to his the RSS feed.

Also how do I update my signature? Its not under settings.

Congrats on the upgrade, but please include instructions.

I believe what you're speaking of is still available. There is a "View New Content" link just below the Search bar at the top of the page. Let me know if this is what you're looking for!

I agree I miss the old site. Maybe it will just take a while to get used to but things just dont line up on the screen correctly its kinda like some one was coloring out side the lines(I duno might be my pc but???) I also miss the new post button but I think I found a way around that. There are more things I an not a huge fan about but I will reserve those thoughts untill I become more firmiliar with the new format and maybe some of them will go away.

Question: Is that Chatrooms down below going to be our new chatroom? :-/ Not sure I'm really digging that.

Other than that have really no complaints. It's all new and will just take a while to figure everything out. I'm sure I can do that.

You just have to push the view new content button in the upper right and corner and that's the "new posts" button. It's not bad just takes some getting used to.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
