cielle 0 Posted October 3, 2010 I've seen Benefiber mentioned a lot on this board. I looked at the nutritional information today and was surprised to see how many carbs it has, since I know most people are low carb after surgery. It looked like most versions had 4 grams of carbs to 3 grams of Fiber and some (powder plus calcium) had 7 grams of carbs. Is that enough fiber to make the carbs worth it? Because I'm a diabetic, I count ECC (effective carb count) which is carbs - fiber. For an ECC of 1, this product is worth it for me.

LowCho 1 Posted October 24, 2010 Thanks for your response! Do you know if that's the same as net carbs? Yes. I believe Atkins calls them Net Carbs; whereas, Protein Power call them ECC :-)
