YOLANDA240 13 Posted October 2, 2010 I Finally have a date after two years of fighting with my pcp and my insurance I will be getting sleeved Nov. 8th:lol0::biggrin0::lol0: I'm so excited that this is finally going to happen this time, I'm having my stomach scoped next Friday has anyone had this done if so how did you feel after the procedure?? My surgeon was not happy that I gained weight, I know I can lose the 7lbs before surgery my explanation was working out with my trainer turned fat into muscle it has been 3 months since getting approved by insurance company he said that is no excuse I was so happy to get a date to argue with him. Nov. 8th then I can start my weight loss journey:svengo:

sherrita3 0 Posted October 2, 2010 Hello! I had the stomach examination done and it was quite easy. All they do is run an IV, put you to sleep, and they wake you up! They monitor you for a while. My throat was kind of scratchy for a couple of days. But other than that, smooth sailing! Congrats on your date! The best is yet to come! I'm still going through Aetna's requirements. Next month will be my last month. I hope everything goes smooth. Good Luck!
CountryGirlatHeart 0 Posted October 2, 2010 Congrats on getting your date. The scope is a breeze you may have a scratchy throat after for a day or two but that should be it. I'm finally being sleeved on the 13th and can't wait to start my new journey.:001_smile:

educationrulz 18 Posted October 3, 2010 Wow Yolanda! That is GREAT news! I don't think I could have stuck with it that long but it will be well worth the battle. And you can definitely lose those few extra pounds before surgery with a low carb diet. I lost 15 pounds in about 2 and 1/2 weeks preop eating any Proteins I wanted. Good luck with everything and keep us up to date on your progress.
