Well let's start with more info.

How many calories are you eating per day? How many carbs?

Are you logging your food everyday? Have you changed anything about your diet?

I was stuck for 63 days with my weight loss going up 2 lbs then down 3lbs .. It was so frustrating untill i was sick with a cold and couldnt eat anything ... I finally lost 7 lbs and i realize why I had stalled.. It was my carbs ... I was eating too much carbs and eating alot of slider foods.. I wasnt gaining but was not loosing.. Stay away from bad foods and eat only good healthy ones .. it will make a big difference ... I have not been eating that slider foods and I'm loosing again ..Thank you Lord for that ..you must change your diet .. You have to eat good foods also ... no sugars and bad carbs for me .. this is JUST A TOOL!!! You still have to work at it and I finally have accepted that..

While you are trying to figure out why you are not losing, remember this...you haven't gained. How many times in your past have you been on a diet and lost 50-70 lbs, just to gain it all back plus some. I did it plenty of times. I know you're frustrated but try to focus on that and know this tool will work for you, you just have to identify the problem. Some ppl do have long stalls, just keep doing the right things and you'll get there. Hang in there, we are all pulling for you.

Hey,

all I can say is congratulations on your 70lb loss... that is amazing in 6 months ... good for you... stay positive and decide if you WANT to lose anymore, or whether you are contended where you are...

I agree with Maddie... you ain't gained and this is excellent!!

I spoke to my surgical clinic about this topic last week as I had a 5-week stall in my 4th month. I was told that most sleeve patients have one or two pretty major stalls within the first year and that is based on their stats with their patients. I was like others - up and down the same 2-3 pounds BUT my clothes were incredibly more loose by the end of that stall. So I know for a fact that the inches continue to shift around even if the scale doesn't move but don't despair .. the scale will move again.

How are you doing now,.... Have you moved off the 70 lbs? Perhaps you will have to keep a journal of what you are eating/:thumbup1: I have lost a little over 20 lbs for surgery. Surgery will be next Weds. Have been reading everything I can. Wish you my best. MN Mary

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
