Jordien 30 Posted September 29, 2010 Good morning everyone! Wow, I sleep better and better every night. What a relief.. getting some REAL sleep back in my life. Today's my visit to the surgeon for 1st check-up since leaving hospital. Getting JP drain out.. thank GOD! I have my little list of questions. Feeling pretty good. How's everyone? How many days out are you now, and what are you eating? I'm still on Clear liquids for a few more days. Started to get antsy last night and officially starting seeking out new things I could have.... trying to be patient! I have lost 16 lbs. since surgery! Yes! This is Day 10 for me. Can't believe it's behind me! When's everyone see their surgeon again post-op?
teh ericka 1 Posted September 29, 2010 wow, you had your drain in for 10 days? You're a saint! I only had mine in for 6 and I felt like I was going to die by the time it came out. I'm at 9 days now and trying to move into full liquids, but it's been rough. Sometimes things go down really easy, and other times they make me absolutely sick. So far I've had relative luck with drinkable yogurt, but I have to take it slooowwww. Everything else is touch-and-go. Good luck on your appt! Definitely share any helpful info you come across
Jordien 30 Posted September 29, 2010 thanks! I have read a few of your other posts. I say just take it slooooooow and easy. I was cleared to move on to purees, so I am VERY excited about that. I enjoyed 3oz of vanilla yogurt earlier and just finished the other 3oz. THRILLED to be trying new varieties, but I am going to be very cautious. He took the drain out.... OMG freakiest weirdest feeling ever. All seems good. I go back in another week. Down 13 pounds on his scale!! yahoo!
heathernowak 0 Posted September 30, 2010 Hey Girls! I also got my sleeve on the 20th and I cannot believe you had your jp drain for so long. I got my out on day 3 and you are right about it being freaky!! I don't want to do that again any time soon!! I go tomorrow to my first post op appointment and I have just started full liquids. I have yogurt and pudding and today I made potato Soup and pureed it and it was delicious!! Can't eat very much though. I still have random pains right under by boobs....maybe gas? Do you all have that? It kind of builds up in intensity and then fades away. I'm on Prilosec and take gas pills when I need them. I'm glad you girls are doing well!!
