BlackBerryJuice 349 Posted September 28, 2010 You should contact a surgeon to get a definite answer. Diabetes and thyroid disease are not contraindications, but I'm not sure about Crohn's, as it can affect other areas of your GI tract (including stomach) and is often accompanied by nutrient malabsorption. Bryn 3 Posted September 28, 2010 If I remember correctly I read somewhere that the sleeve procedure was a great option for WLS for those with Crohn's disease, and i think anemia versus gastric bypass and the band. but double check with a doctor!!
momto2boys 0 Posted September 28, 2010 thyroid problems is one of the main reasons I had the surgery... And it has already helped I am already taking a lower dose of med I was taking as high as you can for it.
