Question about this new option my sister as pointed me to

Hi all,

My sister has introduced me to this,what question I have...is that,are there any health restrictions that make this procedure a no go....I have diabetes,crohns,and thyroid issues....very seriously looking into getting this done.....thanks for reading.:confused:

You should contact a surgeon to get a definite answer. Diabetes and thyroid disease are not contraindications, but I'm not sure about Crohn's, as it can affect other areas of your GI tract (including stomach) and is often accompanied by nutrient malabsorption.

If I remember correctly I read somewhere that the sleeve procedure was a great option for WLS for those with Crohn's disease, and i think anemia versus gastric bypass and the band.

thyroid problems is one of the main reasons I had the surgery... And it has already helped I am already taking a lower dose of med I was taking as high as you can for it.
