Unjury UNFLAVORED?

Recommended Posts

Anyone tried this stuff? I'm sure it's a pipe-dream to have totally tasteless Protein, but is it relatively unoffensive stuff? I'd really like to have something I can just add to whatever I'm already eating, rather than trying to choke down something separate altogether.

Any luck with this?

It's definitely not tasteless...it's just unflavored.

I think it's pretty yuck...tried it once and said never again.

But I've read plenty of others who tolerate it well.

I've never tried it with just Water, but added it to some Soup and it was OK. It's got a lot of calories in my opinion so I try not to use too much powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury.

HTH!

Uuugghhhh! This stuff was gross to me. I know others swear by it though. It was totally stinky AND nasty no matter what I put it in. Try ordering a couple of sample packs from the Unjury site. They're pretty cheap. You might like it. I love Isopure RTDs and plenty of people find those disgusting. You really can't go by what other people experience when it comes to the Protein stuff.

I sneak a half a scoop into my coffee in the morning with my sugarfree coffemate Creamer.

I also use a scoop in my fruit smoothies!

These are the only two times I use the unflavored, and I NEVER smell it! (I keep my nose away)

I hate it. I have tried it in so many things. NO way I'm touching the stuff. IT REEKS!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
