CountryGirlatHeart 0 Posted September 26, 2010 Getting ready for the all liquids (two weeks before surgery). I start on Wednesday. Just made a double batch of Jello and stocked up on the ready made Protein Shakes. Anything else I can make or get to help me through until the big day? I've been reading a lot of the post surgery success stories here and they are all so very encouraging but I need inspiration now to get me through the all liquid part of the pre surgery part of this journey. I've already been doing two Protein shakes in place of Breakfast and lunch for the last two weeks (per doctors orders) so at least I had dinner to look forward to. Now the only food I've been having for the last two weeks is getting taken away from me... how am I going to survive?:001_tongue: Doctor: Barry Greene Hospital: Shady Grove, Rockville, MD
GayleSBennett 0 Posted September 26, 2010 I dont know if you like slim fast. But Slim fast now has a Protein version. It actually tastes very good. I drink that and then mix in a teaspoon of unflavored Protein mix. Its really delicious and fills me up. chicken and Beef broth cubes are good for warmth. I'm not sure how you're going to survive since everyone is different. But I can tell you that when you start to feel bad.. just come here. reading the success stories is enough to get anyone through the liquid stage. =) Congratulations on your surgery date. I look forward to reading about your new life. =)

thegeek 0 Posted September 26, 2010 Anything else I can make or get to help me through until the big day? Find a good beef, chicken, or vegetable broth that you can stomach. I concentrated way too much on the sweet stuff (jello, popsicles, etc.) and by day 2 I was craving salt like you would not believe. It's not quite the time of the year for it, but I also appreciated some hot apple cider (sugar free, of course). Good luck!.
