sleeveorbust 11 Posted September 23, 2010 Dr. Phil had a couple on the show where the wife doesnt want to be intimate because she has gained weight and feels like a failure!!!. Unattractive and less of a woman. This is exactly how my relationship is.. my hubby always tried to help me on all of my diets.. but when i failed and failed and failed.. i felt like such a failure and it took such a toll on our relationship!!.. i feel so bad for her... but when i see her i think to myself, im so glad that will never be me again.. anybody else in that boat with me? stcyt 15 Posted September 23, 2010 Its hard to want to be intimate if you don't feel sexy. I am not married, but I didn't even date anyone for about 10 years (yes... 10 years without it... till last night hehehe). I was "only" 50lbs overweight and I'm tall so I carried it pretty well....I was persued by some men who where definately great guys... but I just couldn't do it. I was just too disgusted with myself. I started dating someone recently.... fantastic guy and I feel so sexy now. I know he's looking at me and thinking I look good. There is no better feeling. I just can't do it if I feel like a bumpy lump. stacey

Mary Gordon 3 Posted September 24, 2010 fortunately my husband never said anything, he was more worried about my health, so when i had the sleeve, he was really really happy.....the thing here is low self esteem....and that is an issue i think all of us have as well. wannalise 16 Posted September 24, 2010 How weird I am watching that episode on tivo right now. (Okay this will sound awful, but I thought the husband was a bit of a d-bag.) Not very insightful or helpful to the topic, but just interesting that I watched it and wanted to vent and here was the option! Now back to your regularly scheduled programming. JamieLynn77 1 Posted September 24, 2010 *giggle @stcyt* you go girl! i know what you are all saying. i feel anything but appealing when i am carrying around a little "extra" hehe. it is hard to be intimate when u feel imperfect. i know i feel that way. someone particular told me, when i mentioned my surgery, i was already pretty. and asked if i really thought i needed to do this. for the first time in my adult life, someone suggested that i was attractive. and i almost backed out. its good to have those ppl in our lives, that still believe in us, and will still like/love us, no matter what. mp8btpc 33 Posted October 3, 2010 Guys too. I've only lost 1/2 my weight and already I`ve started dating again. Its much better than World of warcraft! That game alone will help you gain a ton of weight! Plus it is probably a lot more satisfying for you to date in real life then to have your undead mage dating a hotty tauren hunter in game huh?
