Jordien 30 Posted September 23, 2010 Hi all, Home from hospital and have that restless feeling like I don't know what's coming or going?! Did you sleep only on your back in bed? What was the easist way to sleep? Did you sleep on your side at all? A little painful, but maybe easier to sleep. Looking for some ideas for getting comfortable in bed. Thanks! iegal 460 Posted September 23, 2010 Thank you for post. I am a side sleeper also and am having difficulty sleeping any way but on my back. Less than 1 week out. I have found sleeping in a recliner helps...yet still, on my back. Anyone else have thoughts? Will I be able to sleep on my side again soon?
AniO 0 Posted September 23, 2010 I slept on my side the second night home from the hospital with a pillow under my belly. Even better if you can do it with a full body pillow. AniO
Cancel 1 Posted September 23, 2010 By two days post op I could sleep on my side with a pillow under my belly. I am a belly sleeper and 7 days out can almoat sleep on my tummy again. Feels a little weird but not painful. I also sleep better on my back if I can prop pillows under my legs and my head up. You'll be amazed at how much easier it gets each day out. Butrcupz622 1 Posted September 23, 2010 A month out here and I can only still sleep on my back even though I'm a side sleeper. In the begining, I used to put pillows under my knees to help alleviate any pains I would get from sleeping flat.

heathernowak 0 Posted September 23, 2010 I also had my surgery on Monday and have a hard time sleeping on my back. Last night I used a full body pillow and was able to sleep half the night on my side. I also will cherish those words, "you'll be amazed at how much easier it gets each day out". wannalise 16 Posted September 24, 2010 The sleeping thing got me too! The only time I needed pain medication after I got home was in the middle of the night when I woke up laying on my stomach. It really does get a little better every day. Honest! Anna
