Cleosan52 6 Posted September 26, 2010 I'm pre op and getting ready for my gall bladder removal in a week. I'm eating between 600-800 cal now and starving!!! I'm hoping after surgery, I won't have this hungry feeling.
sleeve 4 me 910 Posted September 27, 2010 I am just over 2 months postop and was wondering how many calories a day I should be eating? I haven't meticulously tracked my food for a few weeks like I did in the beginning and sometimes I feel like maybe I am eating too much, so I tracked what I ate today and it was 665 calories. Too much? Too little? Is it okay? OMGOSH! 41 lbs. gone! WOW YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you!
KathyM 14 Posted September 27, 2010 Thank you sleeveforme! I am so happy with the weight I have lost. The 41 is since surgery on July 16th. If I add in the weight I lost on my preop diet, I am at 58lbs since July 1st! I am never sure whether I should count that in my weight loss ticker or just the weight I have lost since surgery lol. At any rate, it feels amazing, I can't even remember the last time I weighed 250! How are you doing??????
currysusan123 2 Posted September 29, 2010 Im 3 months out. I average 800-950 cals /day. My fat grams and carbs are somewhat higher than others. My Protein is around 40-60/day...(Not quite enough) and Water consumption is about 1/2 of what it should be. I'm averaging about 3 lbs a week loss. My exercise is sporatic and not strenuous (slow treadmeal, Swimming, shopping). But I have lost 65 lbs in 3 months :biggrin0:

I got tired of saying pre-op weight and surgery weight. 365 in June (1 month before surgery) 355 July 7 (Surgery date) I separated them for a while. When I lost 50 lbs total I decided it didnt matter anymore so I add pre surgery weight loss in my total...

At almost 6 months out (one week till 6 months) I am losing an average of .5 lbs a day. .4 if I don't drink enough Water.
aintstoppin 0 Posted October 29, 2010 How are you doing. I am having surgery in early January and am quite nervous about the surgery, the post diet and if I will truly see results. TStew 25 Posted October 31, 2010 I should probably step up the exercise but I am still very heavy and anything more than a brisk walk hurts. I've ordered a beginner pilates dvd and will incorporate that. I have Fibroymyalgia so I'm very concerned about how much I will be able to exercise after surgery. However, I do have many tools and hopefully I have the drive and will power. I was part of a 'pain management group' at a local hospital last year and they taught us how to manage pain without meds. A huge part of that was exercise. I bought a few DVD's that I was really impressed with and had fun doing with the group. Unfortunately, they've been gathering dust for many months but I'm counting on them to get me started on a more active lifestyle. (Why haven't I started already?!? lol) Here are the ones I loved and bought: Rainbow Sun Qigong (It's for seniors and when I see these older women doing these moves I feel that my 41 yr old butt has NO EXCUSE not to) 4 Minute Fitness with Dr. Keith Jeffery (he's cheesy as hell but I did feel good doing these exercises) Yoga in Bed (Very gentle moves and the only Yoga I can do!)
