thegeek 0 Posted September 19, 2010 At my pre-op yesterday, my surgeon told me that I would go home and be on pureed foods. Anyone have any ideas? In my puree stage, I picked up a few Soups from a local Soup shop and threw them in the blender (sometimes with a little unflavored Protein powder), and Protein shakes. Good luck! peatie 4 Posted September 19, 2010 puree eggs, vegetables, Soups, boiled chicken, etc... Whatever you can toss in the blender! Make a big batch, freeze in ice cube trays then toss them in ziplock bags. It's easy to microwave small portions when you need to eat. Good luck on your journey! :scared0:
NLWC.Christa 4 Posted September 19, 2010 My staples were Ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, Protein from Bariatric Advantage (Pro Joe and Meal Replacement shakes) Light Laughing Cow cheese wedges, soft scrambled eggs. steamed or baked fish that I could mush with a fork. I really can't handle meats that are pureed in the blender, so I stuck to foods I could just mash by hand. My doctor also let me have some string cheese, stripped into fine shreds and chewed well, during that stage. The only time I got out the blender was to puree some no-sugar added canned pears to eat with the ricotta.
