A million last meals

Recommended Posts

I cannot wait for my date to get here. I keep eating like every meal is my last. :confused1: Instead of doing the 1 week low carb diet I'm going to have to do 2 weeks just to be at the weight I filled out a week ago on my forms. My eating is so out of control. I'm ready for my new life! Bring. it. ON!

I totally know how you feel. I had a million Last Suppers and food Funerals. The good news is that everything changes once the surgery is done. Just do your best and hang in there!!

I'm glad this is just not me. I'm not eating out control (I don't think). But I am not being as good as I should be a week before operation (tho I don't have a pre-op diet). But I feel like I'm a farewell to food tour with my stomach. One last hurrah! Trying to get my fav things I know I won't be able to have post op. Trying to be good during the week but on Saturday I kind of let it go. I had a burger and fries for lunch yesterday felt super full after then felt like crap about myself for having eaten it. A week from right now and I will be sleeved...CAN'T WAIT!!!!

I gained 15 or more pounds from the moment I decided to have surgery to the moment I had it. Part of it was stress eating the other part was me rationalizing that I needed to give each food I loved a "proper goodbye" lol.

What blows is that I have lost officially around 20 pounds and most of that was gained in the 3-4 months before I had surgery...Wth.

My Last Supper was bruschetta, made a la the move, "Julie & Julia", the ultimate food porn movie IMO. It was incredible.

I gained about the same amount, from the time I started my journey until I was told I had to lose 16 lb to have my surgery. Trust me the last meals are not worth it. I ended up having to join Weight Watchers so I could lose the weight.

It's amazing what we have learned to do over the years with this constent dieting. . no wonder it was called yoyo syndrom! Up and down . . . it is also hard to imagine the injury we could be causing the metabolism by doing that. . . amazing!

I totally had 5 weeks of food funerals before the surgery. This was exacerbated by the fact that I was on a free cafeteria meal plan, so I didn't have to worry about the cost of food, so that couldn't deter me from getting ice cream or brownies to go with my meal. Not the best thing to do, but I REALLY got it out of my system. I actually had some Kit Kat bars in the house a few days before the surgery and I wouldn't touch them, because I had had so many sweets in the preceding few weeks!

I put on 8 lbs, which were gone within a week of surgery, lol. Yeah, I'd probably be sitting at 175 instead of 182 if not for that free-for-all, but then I wouldn't remember the pleasure of splitting a sushi "loveboat" with my boyfriend during one of our outings, followed by 2 bottles of delicious boozy pear cider, and then a Marble Slab green tea ice cream with almonds and coconut for dessert.:lol0:

My last supper was Taco Bell. :( I was hoping for it to be lasagna, or lobster & crab, or something <much> better. I had Taco Bell for lunch the day I went to see my Dr. for the pre-op. I asked to change the schedule back a month due to some work constraints and they pushed it forward a week and said "You are officially on your liquid diet starting right now. Here, have some water".

I felt "jipped" that whole week... after the surgery, though - I didn't care, and I don't miss it now either!

I am in a strange place, I have to stay the same for over 3 months! I am right at the bottom of the BMI and have to stay the same to qualify... I am counting calories and trying not to lose any weight FOR A CHANGE!! I actually really want to lose now, reading all the posts here, I am inspired...the really hard part is I am not getting surgery until January... I have to stay the same through the holidays and vacation too.... It is interesting to see how many calories I need to stay the same... not that many... around 1600. Im trying to eat more Protein, no Water during eating or after, and getting in my Vitamins... Writing everything down.. Sometimes that donut or pototoe chip really calls my name. My Nut warned me, no binging. Eat healthy. I will be able to eat most anything I want later on, just small portions. Im trying not to say Goodbuy to my faves...the thought I wont be able to eat a huge pile of salad with everything on it makes me sad sometimes... chin up all! Relax, we will be OK....better than OK in the end.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
