ChrisV67 13 Posted September 13, 2010 I have been moved to pureed foods, baby foods and crushed meats! OH HAPPY DAY! :thumbup1: Any good suggestions or recipes?
mp8btpc 33 Posted September 13, 2010 Congrats, I know I felt like I hit the jackpot once I started on the pureed/mushie stage. I am sure people will be able to give you some good ideas. I was boring and just stuck to refried beans/cheese and creamed Soups along with my yogurts, cottage cheese and such. But enjoy your next diet step!

mp8btpc 33 Posted September 15, 2010 hmm I would like to hear more on this. Hi Determined: Have you looked at any VSG guides? I will link one for you to look at. Each doctor and clinic has their own pre and post surgical diets for you to follow. Most go in stages from liquids and progress to normal types of food allowing your stomach to heal without complications and to get you used to taking in certain amounts of Protein and such. Here is a link of one of those guides. http://www.sleeveguide.com/uploads/1/7/9/4/1794785/dietary_guidelines_sleeve_gastrectomy.pdf

But thanks for the link that is a great one!
wannalise 16 Posted September 15, 2010 I also kept it really simple. I had a sweet roommate who in an effort made me buttery mashed potatoes and brought them to me at work. I ate a few bites and then sat at work, in front of my clients, with my hands above my head bawling! I called my boyfriend and told him to get my stomach back. (I was a titch crazy!!!!) So...in my experience stay away from potatoes. I did very well with yogurt, cottage cheese, and pureed some wendy's chili one evening too. Hope you enjoy this phase, it does feel good to get to eat something that isn't liquid!
TwoStepsBack 15 Posted September 15, 2010 I bought one of those white fish with parsley sauce in a bag, and put that along with some mash potato, broccoli and cauliflower in the blender. Was kinda like fisherman's pie. YUM! x
