August Sleevers Updates!

Hey guys, I just wanted to check in and see how everyone has done. Just give us an update of your weight loss or anything you are going through!

I have lost 19 pounds in 28 days. I am quite happy with these numbers. I am now moving onto normal foods..but treading lightly.:)

I am also daydreaming about mushies. I am on liquids for three weeks (one week to go) and it is so boring. I have lost 10 pounds though and that is awesome.

I'm 14 days out and today is the first day I FELT GREAT! Normal again...I'm so happy :thumbup:

Im 24 days out and have lost 23lbs. Im really not getting my Protein in. Just the smell of the Protein Shake makes me ill. I drink about 32oz of Water and push myself to get that in. The things can eat are: 1 slice turkey meat, small amount of egg whites, chili, cheese stick, rice and black Beans. All in small amounts, but soon after Im hungry again. The other day my son had the hash browns from Burger King sitting on the table and I just went crazy eating them. I ate like 8 and started puking. I've over done it a couple of times because I don't know Im full until its too late.=( I think about food way to much.

O wow! Let me ask you a question. How do you get to the point of over doing it? If I eat anything too fast I start to feel pain :001_tongue:...I'm just asking because I hate puking, and I don't want to ever get there :(...Thanks!

I was like that my first two weeks but now I no longer have pain until I over do it. And the puking is weird...It doesn't come up all at once. I sit there and it comes up little by little. Its not good =(

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

      Woohoo! I have 7 more days till surgery, So far I am already down a total of 20lbs since I started this journey.
