I don't know about any Vitamins that cause less nausea, but you can ask your doc for Odansteron (Zofran). It comes in liquid form as well as a tiny pill form. You can take that for your nausea about 10 or 20 minutes before your Vitamin and that should help. Good luck.

Yes, I have the same problem with multi's. I fight this all the time, because it's hard to make myself take the vitamin! What I've started doing with my chewables is to let them slowly dissolve, like a piece of candy and that seems to help me. The only thing is, i don't care for the taste much, but this is better for me than the nausea feeling I get afterword. I stocked up on Bariatric Advantage Vitamins and I don't want to waste them. Also, if I try to swallow a whole Vitamin, I still get sick, if I can get it down with out hurting. Soooooo, I too need suggestions about the whole vitamin thing.

I too get nauseau's when taking Vitamins. I am a month out and I just quit taking them because I hate the feeling. I know I need them but if anyone finds anything else that works I'd love to know too.

I first tried the adult chewable vitamins. They didn't work for me. Then I tried Flinstones chewable. They hurt me too. Now I am using gummy vitamins. I have One a day Kids jolly rancher flaver gummies. They are GREAT... No nasty Vitamin burps afterwords & no nausia. I am a true believer of the gummies.

I had the same problem. I bought every chewable under the sun. So the Dr., said to go ahead and take a regular Multivitamin. I started taking Woman's One A Day -- Nausea is gone. I swallow it and don't have to worry about the chewables any more! :001_rolleyes:

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
