left sided pain (left of belly button)

Recommended Posts

Ok, they did most of the work on that side. When i walk (especially on the treadmill with it up some) and when i lean forward alot. I'm 3 weeks post op and wondering when everyone's pain finally stopped??

I know doing too much will zap me, just ready to do more

I had the same pain- it's where your stomach is! I'm 3 weeks post-op (today, actually!), and my pain there is mostly gone. I feel some tightness there still when I lie on my stomach. Mine got much better after the drain was pulled out. I think it just takes time. Hang in there.

Yes, I experienced the same thing. I'm almost 3 months out and will still, rarely have a soreness there. It took almost 6 weeks for the discomfort to subside in that area. It was constant for about 3-4 weeks then it began to ease up. Every once ina while it would really ache!! But now I don't even think about it. Hang in there it does get better!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
