I started running a low grade temp last night...it was right around 99. Took some Tylenol, woke up this morning and the fever had gone down back to normal. This evening the fever has returned at the same time, and is 101 this time. I have no other issues. I am not feeling nauseous, or having any pain my heart rate is the same as always.

I live 2 hours away from my surgeon, so could I just go to my regular doctor?>

I would at least call your pcp's office and ask to speak to one of the nurses to see if they think you should come in. I'd of course tell them about being sleeved. :) I hope you get to feeling better.

how far post op are you? I would have my doctor order a upper GI to be safe, but I had a leak, so I am a bit more cautious. And upper Gi is pretty basic and should be covered by insurance.

I'm actually still waiting to be sleeved :scared0:, but if it was me, I'd call my pcp's office. Better safe then sorry. :) Since you have had a leak, I'd be super cautious too. I'm crossing my fingers for you that it's nothing serious!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
