goodlife 3 Posted August 31, 2010 Jane...you're absolutely right. I was reflecting the other day on how much LESS stressful everyday life is without all of those little worries that most people never even think about or have ever had to worry about. I think the best word I can come up with to describe it is that it's just so LIBERATING! Btw...I hit the halfway mark yesterday...and today down another lb...so I'm over the hump and on the way downhill....woohoo!
goodlife 3 Posted August 31, 2010 I changed my ticker to show total loss instead of just post -op loss.

Papillon 7 Posted August 31, 2010 Congratulations!! Thank you for posting your stats, you are inspiring me. I am on my two week liquid diet and your story is encouraging me to keep fighting the good fight!
goodlife 3 Posted August 31, 2010 The two week liquid diet is the absolute hardest and worst part about this entire process, IMO. If you can get through that, you'll breeze through post-op!! lol
Maddie 9 Posted August 31, 2010 Thanks Maddie! Any word from the doc's office yet? I am scheduled for 7:30 tomorrow (Wednesday). Thanks for asking.
coreyandbrett 0 Posted August 31, 2010 Wow, awesome job... I cant' wait to post those same things. I'm currently waiting on my insurance to approve my sleeve, but they had told me there would be no problem. I am loving this site and loving all the positive stuff people are filling it with. Keep up the good work!
goodlife 3 Posted August 31, 2010 Thanks coreyandbrett and welcome to the boards! These boards were an absolute pleasure to dig through when I was pre-op. I just couldn't get enough information. It really helped as I felt I knew exactly what to expect post-op. There were no surprises....except I really WAS surprised at how easy my recovery was. sleeveorbust 11 Posted September 1, 2010 goodlife!!!.... You are doing amazing! I can't wait to start my process soon!!!.... I was just goingto say that probably when you have a stalemate from losing lbs I bet your still losing inches! So keep that in mind so that you won't get frustrated from what the scale is telling you!!... Congratulations on the new you! :thumbup1: all the best to you! Swiftflow 6 Posted September 3, 2010 Great work! I seem to be on the 2-3 week stall followed by 2 weeks of loss thing too.. I have stopped worrying about it as long as the 2 weeks of loss do come around. I secretly had hopes of hitting my goal in new record time when I began with all the running I do--but it does not seem to make a huge difference. The good news is that I get so many other benifits from the exercise, I am going to stick to it.

coops 1,790 Posted September 3, 2010 Well Done Goodlife!! I am 9 weeks post op now and I think I have the same pattern of losing 2 weeks out of the month, glad to see that I am in good company... Thanks for putting your stats our, you have made me realise that I am not doing it properly... you maybe wondering how on earth I can get it wrong, but I forgot to include TWO legs and TWO arms, so I am going to have to add mine up ... and of course that will mean that I have lost more inches that I orginally thought.... YEY and THANK YOU!! x
