mp8btpc 33 Posted August 27, 2010 I went to my doctor today and weighed in! I have lost 15 pounds since surgery. I was seen the week before surgery at same doctors office and weighed in on same scale, so I am totally jazzed at my initial weight loss. 14 days and 15 pounds wooot woot. Not too bad for a low BMI'er :confused1:

Maddie 9 Posted August 28, 2010 WTG. you're right for a low BMIer that's awesome. Now the trick will be not to expect that next time. It will slow down, and as long as you are mentally prepared for that, you will do well. I am so glad things are going so well for you this time. Best of luck to you. mp8btpc 33 Posted August 28, 2010 Thank you Thank you :: bows:: hehe. I am feeling really great actually, I started feeling tons better on day 10 or so when I started taking Prilosec. The tummy stopped gurgling and rolling. Now I can actually feel when I get hungry which is like every three hours. I am playing it conservative and putting maybe 3 oz at a time and sometimes not even that. I am having muscle milk shakes as a Protein drink in the a.m and I can start on pretty much anything mushy or put into a blender now. I have one more week then I can start the regular foods and I am too freaked out I may wait an additional week. I just am having such a good recovery I do not want to push it at all. I also have been able to sleep in my bed since I came home from having surgery, I think that the good sleep also helps. I have a 4 inch memory foam topper that allowed me to sleep on my side and tummy right away. It sort of just pillowed it. That was a blessing. I am going to start on September 1st to do some light walking on the treadmill at the gym and get into a routine of going daily after I drop my kids at school. My cousin is a personal trainer there and she can't wait to get me into her bootcamp lol but that will have to wait. I know my weight loss is not going to continue at the rate of the 1st two weeks and I am okay with that. I am actually not really concerned with my weight loss at this point. I just want to continue to heal and I know the weight loss is inevitable. I didn't put on this weight over night :confused1:
