What's the best protien shake brand?

Recommended Posts

I am starting my preop diet of 2 weeks liquid in two weeks. I just got some samples of the Unjury Protein Shakes. The chicken Soup was actually good. I think I'll add an extra bullion cube for a little more flavor. But it was smooth, no grittyness at all. Also unjoyed the strawberry shorbet. I think I'll blend this with ice cubes for a good slushy treat. So far UNJURY is my favorite.

I like BSN Lean Dessert chocolate fudge pudding, but honestly everyone has different tastes. Someone in this thread mentioned they like Unjury, and I cannot stand them. So, I think you just have to taste a few and find what you can tolerate. Try some samples. Vitalady.com has a lot of samples for $2 each I think, and that's a nice way to get to try quite a few.

I hate to say this BUT, the best Protein Drink is the one you can tolerate. You'll get about as many different opinions about what is 'the best' as you will find different brands of Protein. What I love, someone else thinks tastes like puke and vice versa. The link in the first reply to places you can buy samples is an excellent place to start. Don't waste money on tubs until you can narrow down what you like. On the pre-made drinks, if you can just buy single bottles and not packs, until you find what you like.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
