I thought about my earlier posting and need to amend it to 'optional' biker underpants.

What??? It's Friday, I am feeling a little frisky!

Seriously Oroborous has done wonderfully, and it's so good to see him becoming happier and more confident.

 mate!

I can truly relate to all of you!!! Cleaned out my clothes closets (yes, more than one, I am a "clothes horse!") and took about 200 pieces to resale shop! Then I had to go find something for a wedding I am singing in soon. Well, it was truly amazing! No longer in the plus sizes and could shop "off the rack" in exclusive stores - skirt size 12-14!!!! Regular womens! I can hardly believe it! It's happened so fast that as one friend said, "You're going to have to stop thinking like a "big girl" which is really hard. Do you agree? I still want to migrate to the loose baggy tops to "hide!"

I don't think it is bragging at all, you are having some really good feeling accomplishments, nothing wrong with telling people about them.

And Jane_J you crack me up!

Sometimes it is hard to be honest....sometimes it is hard to RECOGNIZE that I've lost 58 lbs unless I look at pictures, before and after! My new clothes size "tells" me I have but when I look in the mirror....I don't see the drastic change that others see. When will my mind catch up to what the doctor did? I love the smaller clothes.....but I LOVE that I have a collar bone! I know, how silly!!! It's the little things, isn't it??!! :)

Congrats, you're doing great!!!!

Thanks! Anyone else notice that it feels hard to be honest about your achievements? On some levels I'm really proud of myself and excited to feel good and look good for the first time in... well, ever. But on some levels, I feel like I'm bragging!

I wonder how many of us deal with this same issue. I wonder, does "self confidence" just mean being honest and unashamed of your strengths? I wouldn't know since I've never been terribly self-confident. But I have a feeling that that may be changing!

Congratulations!!!! I can't wait to be able to post that my clothes no longer fit. I often wonder if I will have a problem with form fitting clothes as I'm so used to extra big clothes to cover/hide everything.....

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
