and carrie, i know you are right. the lady from CPS told me that it is VERY hard to invoke an involuntary parental rights termination in texas. i am not sure if that surprised me or not. i mean, texas is republican right? conservative right? i would think that would mean it would be easy to terminate rights in this particular case. NOPE. just the opposite. and with all of the bad publicity that CPS gets, in this part of texas anyway, well...i dont know. but thanks for the advice.

btw-their lawyer is on vacation until monday and she has not returned their phone calls. AAARRG!! THAT really aggravates me.
