lamsunshine 2 Posted August 21, 2010 I went and spoke with the head surgeon at the Hunington VA, met with Anesthesiologist, and their nutrionist. I am cleared for surgery, and received my date. Are you ready for this, December 2, yes that is right December 2. It sounds like it is so far away, but I'm sure the time will go by fast. To early to start counting down the days. lol But at least I have a date now. :thumbup1:

lamsunshine 2 Posted August 22, 2010 6 more days, how exciting, you will be fine. I know you probably can not help but be nervous, but so exciting too. It is upseting for me because my original surgery date would of been this Tuesday. I get a little upset thinking about it, but still thankful it is still in my future. I will keep you in my thoughts, and prayers on Friday. Let me know how it all goes, so I know what I have to look forward to.

lamsunshine 2 Posted August 24, 2010 Thank you everyone, I'm trying not to get excited, but it is very hard not to. I'm staying on weight watchers until my surgery, and hoping to lose more weight before then, I have to lose 16lbs, but I have plenty of time to work on that. wannalise, thank you, I do kind of feel a little bit more comfortable because I have had time to read the post on here, and become more familiar with the before, and afterwards of the surgery. hoping4sleev, you are so correct, a new me for the new year, and I don't think I could of asked for a better Christmas present. Thank you

Cancel 1 Posted August 24, 2010 Everything happens for a reason. You've got a date now and a goal of 16 lbs before surgery. That will help the time pass quickly and keep you focussed. Plus the more you lose before surgery the less you have to lose after. You'll be there in no time. Good luck and congratulations on getting your date.
