kansas1973 1 Posted August 19, 2010 Hi there! Don't be nervous; this is a really great thing you're doing. I was sleeved a month ago yesterday. Right now, I'm still in the mushy phase. For Breakfast I will have a scrambled egg or a 1/3 cup of greek yogurt or a Protein shake. For lunch 2 ounces of deli turkey or chicken, or 1/4 cup of tuna salad. dinner is usually a piece of grilled fish or shrimp, usually 3-4 medium sized ones. I ate a lot of string cheese at first but laid off of that recently because of Constipation. chicken salad is another favorite, made with canned chicken. Cottage cheese is good, too. Good luck!! BlackBerryJuice 349 Posted August 19, 2010 Yesterday was my 10th and last day on Clear liquids and here's what I had: 1.5 200-ml cartons of juice 2 Protein shakes (each around 400 ml) cup of French onion Soup (strained) 1/2 cup tea with splenda Some Water (probably 300-400 ml) Today I've introduced some new foods, like milk and pureed vegetable Soup, and now I feel like there's a volcanic eruption in my abdomen, so today's food wouldn't be a very good example. I don't experience hunger, though - but I'm never not sipping for more than half an hour.

BlackBerryJuice 349 Posted August 19, 2010 Did you really drinked 200 ml juice at a mealtime or ? Isnt it too much for day 10? That's not per meal, I just listed the total amount of "food" (if you can call it that...hehe) I consumed over the course of the day. I don't think I'll be doing actual "meals" until I'm at the solid food stage.
MlkPas 5 Posted August 20, 2010 I'm five months out. Here is what I ate today: B: Protein shake S: 1/2 oz macadamia nuts L: small chicken thigh with about 2/3 cup rice S: 1/2 Protein Bar D: 3 oz grilled chicken breast S: small fudgesicle Total calories for the day: about 790, with 80 grams of Protein, per FitDay. Qured 3 Posted August 21, 2010 Explain. Lol. Imitation crab legs from surimi (is a Japanese loan word referring to a fish-based food product intended to mimic the texture and color of the meat of lobster, crab and other shellfish. It is typically made from white-fleshed fish (such as pollock or hake) that has been pulverized to a paste and attains a rubbery texture when cooked.) Jane_J 117 Posted August 21, 2010 we call them fish sticks in the UK. They shred quite well into spicy Soup too. And they are cheap and protein-i-licious. Jane x
Globetrotter 1,340 Posted August 21, 2010 I am 5 weeks out today and thus far I have had: 1 Protein shake, 1 tiny chicken breast, 3/4 of a crabcake with the breading scraped off, 2 pots of herbal caffeine free tea. My totals are: liquids - 43 ounces Protein - 63.8 grams calories - 420 carbs - 5 For dinner I'll have another pot of tea, the last 1/4 of the crabcake and probalby 2 TBSP of Peanut Butter. That should get me to my calorie budget and over my liquids and protein quotas.
Qured 3 Posted August 21, 2010 Oh my globetrotter, there are no carbs in there! I couldn't do that. I need my milk, yogurt etc and I really need salad! I know Protein is our priority but I miss salad.< /p>
Globetrotter 1,340 Posted August 21, 2010 Oh my globetrotter, there are no carbs in there! I couldn't do that. I need my milk, yogurt etc and I really need salad! I know Protein is our priority but I miss salad. God, how I miss salad. Where I'm from they are big on locally sourced organic farmer's markets and I could have wept over the beautiful vegetables and fruits. I long for an heirloom Tomato salad, with balsamic vinegar and goat cheese and arugula and cucumbers and fresh cracked black pepper and high quality olive oil, weep!! My only real source of carbs come from my 1 TBSP serving rounds of Peanut Butter, could this very low carb diet be what is making my weight loss so slow? It's not on purpose, it's just that all the carbs on offer here are the very bad kind, even the yogurt is just all sugar and the milk has had all the nutrition sucked out of it. the cheese is that super processed pre shredded stuff that bears no resemblance to that which we call cheese. I decided to be decadent and forego the PB in favor of some ... mashed potato for dinner! :cursing: 2 tsp's worth later, I'm so over it. This crap is gross.
