I will be in the air on my way to San diego!! I am so excited! I haven't gotten nervous yet, actually i hate flying so that is the only anxiety i have at the moment. I'm sure once Friday night gets here i'll start getting the butterflies in the stomach. But for now i just can't wait to get this new chapter in my life started.

This site and forum has been such a MAJOR wealth of information for me and hubby too. He won't admit he's been reading but by the things he says or ask me i know where he got it from:biggrin0:. So if ya think about it sat morning please say a small prayer for me:thumbup:

Thanks,

Randa

Randa, I will say as many prayers as it takes for you to be calm. I just had my surgery done on Tuesday the 17th and it was a breeze. It's really was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Maybe I was in shock. LOL

I will send positive thoughts your way. God bless and best wishes.

Deb

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
