I take 5000 mg a day but I am still pre op so I am just trying to build it up in my system hopeing it will work

Mmmmm interesting...I was looking over notes from my options class and I wrote down 5000 mcg Biotin. I bet I'm supposed to be taking that amount now. I emailed one of the instructors, I hope to hear back from them soon. Thanks!

I started taking Biotin for almost a year now. I stopped for a couple of months, but have been back on it strong since June. I also take prenatal Vitamins, they told that would help with the hair too. Whether or not that is right I have not idea, but I take them anyway. lol

I take 5,000 mcg per day in one capsule, but there is more in my multi and more in my hair skin and nails Vitamin. I hate to say it, but all of this does nothing. I think I just have expensive pee. My hair fell out when I had band surgery and has never recovered when I had revision surgery. I have new hair coming in, but it's still falling out!

Ok let me ask you this, are you taking in all of your protein:confused1: on top of taking the Biotin?

Yes, I eat over 100 grams of Protein per day. My band doctor really stresses the importance of 100 grams of protein per day so I got used to that after I got the band. It's not hard at all to get 100 grams in, since I like my Protein Shakes and Protein Bars, and I eat protein with every meal.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
