What are some of the things you want to buy or do once you hit goal?

My list:

1) Stop taking the 6 meds a-day.

2) Buy a pair of stilettos( I have never owned a pair)

3) Wear jeans with a zipper.

4) Go the local Water park.

5) Run more than 2 feet.

All of the above and the VSG has allowed me to do this.

I made a huge list on my blog. I just want to be able to "live"! I want to enjoy life with my family and I can't wait!

I have a lot of "wants", but my biggest one is to KICK PCOS TO THE CURB, BECOME FERTILE AND START A FAMILY!

That is the most important...

The next most satisfying one would be to cut up my plus-size clothing store credit card because nothing from there fits anymore! HA!

I only had one goal when I had

surgery and that was to stop shopping in the plus size department. I can't tell you how nice it is to take a medium to the dressing room and find out it's too big.

I still have no desire to wear heals, or tuck my shirts in and wear belts.

1. More sex, better sex. Hey, I'm a guy!

2. Buy anything off the rack at Bass or Eddie Bauer.

3. Walk into a sports store and not be ignored by the clerks.

4. Run a 10k. After I do a 5k and a 1k and 100 yards! Bike 50 miles too.

5. More energy for gardening and home remodeling. Wife is an HGTV fan.

6. Greater respect at work and better chances for promotion.

7. Live long enough to take my company's pension for every nickle I can!

  • Hell yeah to the sex! I wanna be able to get in some interesting positions
  • ride horses again!
  • being able to "go for a run." a real run.
  • go to a theme park without worrying about fitting in the seats
  • go dancing, swimming, biking without feeling self conscious
  • never ever again be called a "bbw"

as far as clothing goes... all I know is, I'm going to have to get a LOT pickier! I'm a total fatshionista as it is so I'll buy anything that looks cute right now, but there are so many more options for straight sizes so I'm going to have to reign that in for sure. After a little fun of course.

1) To feel no pain or less pain in my knees/back

2) More energy

3) More self confidence

4) To wear sleeveless tops/dresses during the summer:frown1: without feeling self conscious (due to my trucker arms lol)

5) To live a healthier life so I can be here longer for my hubby and kids

6) I would LOVE to learn how to surf :001_smile: since I love the beach lol

Humpty girl you need to go to the Water park now! I see all shapes and sizes at the various water parks, beaches, etc. I just put some shorts over my bathing suit, and I'm good to go...cottage cheese legs and all :lol0:LOL!

I want to ...

1. Dance. Tango, Paso Doble, swing, lindy hop, cha cha, merengue, waltz, ballet, belly, indian temple. I want to move with energy and not be slowed down by sweating chafing fat, a thumping heart, and exhaustion after a few minutes.

2. When I do dance, I want to really dance with a partner, feel their body against mine.

3. The sex!!

4. Walk into a room and feel totally confident and assured in myself.

I am going to go back and take riding lessons and then buy a horse. I rode Western as a girl, but always wanted to ride english and do dressage and jumping. I'm over half at there and have already found the stable I am going to use. I am already living "my life" again and every day gets better. Oh yeah, and of course the sex!

OMG, yes! I'm signing up for ballet, modern dance, and jazz this fall. I tried ballet in the spring, but the barefoot jumps were hard for me because of my weight - I was afraid of damaging my feet. It should be way easier once I'm down even just 10 pounds! I'd like to try Latin dance in the spring, if my boyfriend's up for it.

I also wanna get my 5K time down to under 30 mins...no matter how much I've trained, I've NEVER managed to run a 5K in under 30 minutes, and I blame the extra weight I've had to haul. I'm sure I'll be way faster once I'm 50 pounds down! I'm tired of having my final results reflect my weight, and not my hard work.

I take ball room dance classes and we do most of those dances. I am so glad I lost all my weight because that was the first thing I noticed. There are no fat people in the classes, and no fat people going to any of the dances either.

Dancing has opened up a whole new world for me. It's been one of the best rewards for losing all my weight! I LOVE dancing and I dance at least 3 times a week these days:thumbup:

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
