Give up green tea for surgery?

Just wondering if anyone knows one way or the other. The last time I had surgery (year and half ago) I was told no green tea for 10 days before surgery due to blood thinning effects of the tea. Did anyone get this warning for the sleeve procedure?

Hi,

Fortunatly, Aceves patients are not told to quit green tea. I would have had a really hard time with that as I've always drunk a TON of Arizona diet. Still do. I gave up coffee and that was tough enough! Glad I did, however, for the caffeine effects. Started drinking it again about 3 weeks out. Heaven.

Glad to hear it, keeping away from sodas will be pretty hard by itself.
