Sunshine 1 Posted August 7, 2010 - I'm about 3 weeks post-op. I'm going on vacation in the middle of December. What will my portions/eating be like then? - Has anyone ever plateaued in the first month? If so, what happened? - In the long run (long term)....if you don't get enough Protein, what happens? Donna4545 13 Posted August 7, 2010 1. According to my program, you would be eating normal foods, with 1 to 1 and 1/2 cup portions. 2. I had a stall week three. I increased exercise, Protein, and took a laxative and the stall ended. 3. If you don't get protein, your body will not burn fat, it will burn muscle for energy. You will be in poor health and you won't be losing weight the way you should.

Sunshine 1 Posted August 7, 2010 It is?....Promise? .....so, the weight WILL start coming off? I'm not sure why I'm freaked out by this.
LittleSteve 5 Posted August 7, 2010 I had a stall for 2 weeks. I did start exercising at about this time and started to lose weight again as soon as i did. This may of been coincidental as a lot of people have said they stalled at this point.
Sunshine 1 Posted August 7, 2010 Once the stall was over, did you lose quickly? I wonder why Week 3 is a troublesome week?
LittleSteve 5 Posted August 7, 2010 I am 6 weeks out and 40 lbs down. so as far as I'm concerned yea its falling off but I`m working hard at it and guys do tend to lose faster due to larger muscle mass.
Donna4545 13 Posted August 7, 2010 Probably because it's usually the week you stop liquids and go to mushies. Your body has to re-adjust. This 3 week stall seems pretty common. I did what other posters suggested (up the Protein, up the exercise) and the stall broke. I wouldn't be worried about it at all.
