I had to use the hospital gowns, and didn't wear any of my clothes until the day I left. The gowns are plenty large. I did ask for a second gown I could put on so that I could walk the halls and not worry about my booty making an appearance....so I doubled up and walked.....in the ever so attractive, stockings, IV pole, and double gown....yay!

With Dr. Rod there was no worries on gown sizes. I think since we were all getting wls it would be silky of them to not have large gowns on hand. And after surgery I honestly didn't care what I looked like. That was the last thing on my mind lol.. I just made myself take my walks so I could go back to sleep. The only reason I even put shorts on was so could look at my stomach easier. If you buy a gown it will be a waste of money. I'm one month post op and I'm already down 27lbs. I brought a robe with me and never even used it. If you are going to take anything with you make it gas-x strips and a heating pad.

Those are so pricey. I would think you could buy a cotton nightgown and have a tailor cut open the back and sew in ties for a lot less.

Are you crafty at all? I can't imagine they'd be difficult to make-- just some fabric, snaps at the shoulders, ties at the back? the above idea is a good one too.

If you wanna get fancy I'd check out Etsy-- they have SUCH a cute selection. I totally love =tags&%3Bincludes[1]=title"]this one, can't bring myself to spend the money on it though.
