Try a pretty headscarf?

Also, I wouldn't go as far as shaving your head....oftentimes, a short haircut will provide enough volume that the hair loss is not as obvious. Try cutting your hair short before you take the drastic step of shaving your head.

That's what I was gonna say hahahaha! I will just go back to my A-line bob:thumbup1:

Wannalise..you are a couple of weeks ahead of me. I get very sad over my hair condition. I started out with very thin and fine hair. I now look like I am taking cancer treatments. I have to remind myself that this is temporary and this weight loss is a good thing.

I got my hair cut much shorter today, and my hairdresser kinda added a lot of curl to it. It looks better, but you can see through the strands of hair (lol) and see my bald spots.

Like others have posted, I get my Protein in daily, take my Vitamins faithfully, and even take flax seed oil for my skin and hair. On the 7th of August I will be 4 months out. I fear that I might be bald by the 6th (supposed last month for 'fallout') month.

Oh well....I will be thinner......and healthier.

My surgeon told me that there wasn't any evidence connecting Hair loss to low Protein or Biotin intake. I know that is the opposite of what many of you were told. If he's right, that explains why some people get all their protein in and still lose hair. Maybe it's like saggy skin or stretch marks: luck of the genetic draw.

I wish Biotin did help.I've been taking it for 3 years now. I started right after band surgery and I am 15 months post op from sleeve surgery.

The funny thing is, my new hair that has come in is curly. I have never had curly hair in my life. It's weird. I have little ringlets

at the nape of my neck.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
