I've been secretly watching the recaps on

Sportsnet for the past couple weeks...lol...I'm a die hard Flames fan but since they didn't make it I'm cheering for Edmonton....which you have to do very quietly in this city...lol

LOL,

I'll bet Lanie!!!

I'm a Sens fan myself (difficult when I live so close to Toronoto and have to contend with all the Leafs Fans!).

I'm going to get my citizenship revoked for this, I'm sure...but I secretly... kinda...a little....ever so slightly....might....maybe...would feel relieved if they did not win. Those a** clowns on Whyte Ave have me really bent outta shape and I can help but worry about the damage that will be done if they do win. I have family who's businesses are at risk over a hockey game.:phanvan

AND IT"S NOT FAIR, that one cross section of hooligans had turned me into a grumpy old woman, who can't even get into the game anymore!!!Grrrr!;)

I will try my best to be a good sport. *erm*...Go Team!?:clap2:

I'm sure that it hit them pretty hard to lose Roloson. They need to refocus, get their morale going. They can still do this.

I live in Toronto but grew up in Edmonton during the GREAT years of the Oilers... Wayne, Paul, Mark, Grant, Yari, Kevin.... so many.... They are now and forvever the greatest team in hockey....even though Toronto thinks the Leafs are the greatest team lol... no one beats the Oil!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't argue with that, but it seems the Canucks and Oilers are a wee bit from those days. I wonder if anyone on these teams has the band. LOL Doddie

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
