Has anyone tried their Protein Shakes? I went today to see if I can break out from the routine of my Protein Shake at home. I have one right next to my house... Any one had any?

I had Jamba juice Protein drink, I was on a 3 hour car ride, and didn't have a shake, so this was my Breakfast.

They have "lighter" versions and you can add a shot of whey Protein for an extra 50 cents. As a change in pace and flavor it is good, plus for whatever reason when someone else makes them they taste better.....

I know.. But sometimes they taste better when made somewhere else...

I am just curious if anyone has had any from there and if so which ones?

I have a Gladiator Smoothie nearly everyday. Sometimes I go to Smoothie King and get one sometimes I make them at home.

I make sure to specify I only want ONE serving of fruit in my smoothie though as the normal smoothie comes with 2.

I get either the vanilla with banana or the strawberry with strawberries.

The strawberry and banana together is a very popular one but I don't really care for it.

They also make a chocolate powder and sometimes I make that one at home with no fruit added if I've had enough carbs for the day but still need some Protein.

I love the gladiator Protein Shakes. If you want to make it at home, I would suggest the chocolate one. It is REALLY good. If you want to buy one, I would go with the 32 oz gladiator. I drink on it (like 2 meals, or 1 meal and 1 snack). It tastes weird to me in the 20 oz... grainiy or something. Plus, that is about 1/2 of my liquid for the day and over 1/2 of the protein! Some days I really don't feel hungry, other days I want to eat 1/4 c per hour of everything in the house. My non-hungry days, I usually do the shake. I like strawberry with peach, pineapple, or banana. Pineapple and banana is also good. Good luck, and let us know if you decide to get one, and what you think.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
