greeneyes 0 Posted July 27, 2010 hey guys Im looking to get some more scar cream for my incisions. Any ideas on what creams work good? How long before the scars start fading and looking less obvious? Let me know your thoughts thanks!
SarahD. 0 Posted July 27, 2010 I've had surgeries before my sleeve. My incisions seem to stay a pinkish color for about 5 months or so. Maybe my incisions heal slower, but it takes them a LONG time to get to the white scar line look.
texashopeful 0 Posted July 27, 2010 I don't know if this applies or not, but I've been using tummy butter with aloe and vit e, and it actually has made my stretch marks less noticable..and some of them were/are really deep! Some of them were as red as my surgery scars. I am 7 weeks out, so I havne't put anything on the scars themselves yet. They are really pink still. I've heard Mederma works good. Does anyone know when we can start putting creams on the scars? Mine are healed, not open at all anymore.

SParkle 4 Posted July 27, 2010 I'm also using Bio Oil..... and making sure if I'm in the sun that I use a sunblock on them - I use the lipstick kind so I can direct it solely on the scar lines.
possumtrot 2 Posted July 27, 2010 A few years ago I had someone (I think at the Dermatologists office) suggest putting Vit. E on scars...just by the capsules and break them apart to put it on the scars. I was going to try it but had issues so never got around to it. Was thinking of doing it this time around.
