Cknorte 7 Posted July 25, 2010 I was just wondering, if it is considered a soft/mushy food. I mean mashed potatoes are considered soft/mushy why not potato dumplings? I know it is way high carbs, but during the mushy/soft stage it may be another thing I can turn to that is not tuna or mashed pot. Thoughts?
Tiffykins 673 Posted July 25, 2010 I've never personally eaten gnocchi so does it expand like other dough? I would use caution if it does. My first experience with doughy "stuffing" was brutally painful and I was several months out. If you can blend it, maybe that would make it better? Can you not have chili, or blended meats on your mushy stage? I would think those might be better options.
Donna4545 13 Posted July 27, 2010 Mushies are a wonderland--if you can get Protein and liquid in a blender, it's dinner! Try to think about stuff that will food process but be delicious, like a hearty stew, split pea Soup with ham, or deviled eggs, refried Beans with cheese (no blenderizing needed), chili. I wouldn't try doughy stuff though--there's just no need with all the great protein-based options you have. Yummy chicken salad, food processed!
Cknorte 7 Posted July 28, 2010 I have discovered I can blend almost every Soup I like. Seriously Italian Wedding Soup, blended seems to be yummier than not blended....or I may be going crazy.....ha
**LaSaJaTa** 4 Posted August 2, 2010 Gnocchi are made with potato, and a little egg, and LOTS of flour. They also expand in your stomach, so I would strongly caution you against this Italian delight...sorry.
